Final Flood Warning For The Mulgrave And Russell Rivers

FLOOD LEVELS EASING ACROSS THE MULGRAVE AND RUSSELL RIVERS DURING SATURDAY MORNING
No significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Saturday.
River levels have eased below minor at The Fisheries on the Mulgrave River on Saturday morning.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge peaked at 6.15 metres around 03:00 am Saturday 29 January and is currently at 4.20 metres (below minor) and falling.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m) during the remainder of Saturday.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale peaked at 12.55 metres around 05:15 am Saturday 29 January and is currently at 11.70 metres (below minor) and falling.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is expected to remain below the minor flood level (12.00 m) during the remainder of Saturday.
Below minor flood levels are generally easing along the Russell River.

The flood classifications at Gordonvale have been increased based on consultation with Cairns Regional Council. The moderate flood level has been increased from 13.00 m to 14.55 m, and the major flood level has been increased from 14.00 m to 18.00 m.
This is a final warning, no further warnings will be issued for this event.
